“Occupy City” by Linda Zhang http://bit.ly/AsYP72
Bleak, expansive and shapeless are words which are increasingly beginning to characterize our cities. Cities scaled to the size of cars, devoid of activity, barren and alienating. How can we begin to reclaim these spaces on a human scale? How can the city again become a place of encounter, a place of interaction between self and other? How can we begin to occupy the city again and what role can architecture play in this?
